In collaboration with "Best Buddies", Montblanc launches a new writing instrument dedicated to John F. Kennedy. Best Buddies was created by Anthony Shriver, the nephew of J.F.K. to help children and adults with disabilities. Buying this fountain pen thus contributes to a better world.
With its burgundy colour (the colour of Burgundy wine) and gold coated fittings, this writing instrument expresses the glamour and optimism of Kennedy's days. From 1961 onwards, the young American president brought a fresh breeze to the White House and impressed the world with his charisma. Did you know that Kennedy, on May 25 1961, announced his ambitious space programme, which he aimed to achieve 'before this decade is out'? True to his vision, Neil Armstrong left his footprints on the moon in 1969. To remember this, the lunar module is engraved in the 14-karat golden nib. On the gold coated clip is an engravement of the initials JFK.
