Description

The name "Faber-Castell” was found in 1898 due to the marriage of cauntess Ottilie Freiin von Faber and earl Alexander Graf zu Castell-Rüdenhausen. To honor this event, two masterpiece have been launched, each made 1898 times.

The body of the writing instrument is handmade in Germany, which is also mentioned on the pen itself, in silver and finely varnished after in their own specific colour. In the lid the letters AOFG are ingraved (Alexandre, Ottilie, Faber, Castell). Its limited character is also mentioned on the pen itself (and also on the corresponding certificate), but the individual pieces are not numbered.

This fountain pen, called “Ottilie”, is lacquered in violet with a refined pattern which is inspired by the Otillie's room in the castle in Stein. The other pen, “Alexandre”, is lacquered in green, the colour of the cavalry which Alexandre zu Castelle belonged to. Moreover, this is the same colour in which the first pecil was commercialized (the "9000").

The nib is made of 18 carats two-coloured gold, and is only available in the size Medium (M).

This special pen will be delivered in nice giftpackaging.

In combination with the Ottilie fountain pen, Graf von Faber-Castell launched a special ink colour, Violet Blue, of which both an ink bottle and cartridges are available.
