The ribbed barrel of this fountain pen is produced of the precious, reddisch brown wood Pernambuco. This type of wood is extremely hard and durable, and correspondingly difficult to work. Due to the natural differences in grain and colour, every writing instrument in this collection is unique.

The Graf von Faber-Castell Classic Wood Pernambuco fountain pen has a 18-carat gold nib with an iridium tip, which is made by hand. The nib is available in the sizes F (Fine), M (Medium), B (Broad) en EF (Extra Fine).
